Our Summer Boot Camp is still Virtual! This year's Summer Boot Camp has 4 specialized tracks namely: Leadership, Public Speaking, Digital Media and Design and Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy. These tracks are for two categories of participants: children between (ages 8 to 12) and for teenagers (ages 13 to 19), between 9th August – 4th September 2021.

They get to learn exciting topics like Leadership, Public Speaking, Digital Media and Design and Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy, mind mapping etc.

Financial Literacy for Children

Our children are our future and our desires are for them to excel in all areas of their lives. The role of money can therefore not be over emphasized which is why at this summer boot camp, we are paying particular attention to the subject of financial literacy.

Leadership

The role of leadership in the life of a person cannot be over-emphasized. This workshop would give to your children the necessary skills for them to start to think and act like the future leaders that they are. The impact of the training will be immediate.

Mind Mapping & Creativity

Career Talk

Your children are at a very auspicious age where the idea of career can be broached. As parents you need to start talking about career or occupation opportunity with your children (that is if you have not already started).Their minds are receptive to new ideas.

We want to use this Boot Camp to expose the children to various things they need to start to think about as they start to contemplate or prepare for secondary school. Should I focus on a particular subject or skill? Is there a type of occupation they like or is there someone in the society they admire? We have ready, seasoned professionals and career guidance counselors to speak to them and open them up to a whole new world of opportunities and possibilities.

Public Speaking &Social Skills

For many people, one of the most dreaded experience in the world is Speaking in Public.Many people would rather “die” (hide) than speak before a group of people. Hence one of the most sought-after skill in the world is public speaking. It therefore makes good business sense to start your children early and on the right path.

At our summer camp programs we bring trainers who train and teach young people how to speak in public, our trainers have certifications to back up their skills. Some of them are members of Toastmasters and have been known to speak to large audiences locally and internationally. With the training your children will receive, they will learn to participate at speaking competitions, debates and be able to hold their own in any gathering.

Self Esteem

How much does your child know about himself or herself? Is your child confident or shy? Does he or she struggle or feel awkward making friends, speaking in public or at parties?

How much do your kids know about the subject of self-esteem? At this summer camp we would be talking about Self Esteem.

Time Management

Staying organized is a good way to manage your time wisely. Many children do not even know what to do, not to talk of been organized. When a child masters this skill, it will go a long way to help the child achieve a lot more and advancing them in all areas of their lives. Time Management skill is important for children going to secondary school (especially boarding school), the parent is no longer there to chaperon their wards.

Making Friends

Making friends is a skill, Yes! It is. Have you noticed that rarely do you make real friends in adulthood? The reason is that for some unknown reasons some of the friends you made in adulthood are more transactional than the ones you made in your childhood. This Summer Boot camp is a good opportunity for your children to learn some real life's skills like how to foster friendship that will endure over the ages.

Communication

Communication is key to survival and life. Since the advent of social media, phones, tablets, laptops and the internet, real (heartfelt) communication between individuals has become a real issue. Children sometimes lack the awareness on how to communicate with their peers and even adult, this is because they do not know the “how” and “why” of communication.

You will observe that when you leave children in a room filled with their peers all they do is concentrate on their phone all day or play games on their phones. Their phones become the crutch, simply because they do not know where and how to start a conversation. At this summer boot camp they will be taught the basic rudiments of real communication.

Vision of the Future

If only our children can be taught to dream! Dreaming is free! It cost nothing to dream. Children will be taught how to aspire and to get a glimpse of the future they envision for themselves. There is a popular saying “If you can dream it you can achieve it”. We want to help your children start to envision a future they can believe in.

We will tag this as one of the habits of a highly successful pupil/student. This is the core of their success in the academic world, if they know how to study then they will succeed in their academic pursuit.

Suleiman Shaibu

Suleiman Shaibu is an author, a business consultant and leadership expert working with senior executives and businesses on their strategy, leadership and sales management challenges. He has worked for Hewlett Packard (HP), Microsoft and Temenos (Switzerland).

He is a certified Clarity4D UK trainer, an avid Mind Map User and has attended management programs at Harvard & Lagos Business Schools. Suleiman teaches Mind Mapping to Corporate Clients and Children and Teenagers between ages 8 to 19. In 2018, Suleiman Shaibu co-authored a book with the renowned international author and speaker; Brian Tracy called “The Will To Win”

Fela Bank-Olemoh

Mr. Fela Bank-Olemoh is the Senior Special Assistant to the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria on Education Interventions.He is a strategist, an entrepreneur, a public speaker, a leadership coach, a history buff, and a public servant. With nearly 25 years of experience in professional and social service engagements, Mr. Fela has continuously displayed a verifiable track record of impact.He is happily married with children and committed to Faith, Family, and the development of Nigeria.

Victor Diali

Victor Diali is currently the Chief Executive and Master Trainer of TalentEquip Learning and Development Limited, a Human Capital Development consultancy based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is an accomplished and award-winning professional with more than 22 years’ post qualification work experience, 16 of which have been in senior management positions that span different sectors from Information Technology to Banking.

Victor is a USA-trained Certified Practitioner and Coach of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as well as an Accredited Management Trainer, certified by the National Council for Management Development in Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigeria Association for Training and Development (NITAD) as well as the Learning and Development Network, Nigeria.

Oluwafunmilayo Shaibu

Oluwafunmilayo Shaibu in an Executive Director with BFT Consulting Services Limited, a company that helps organization with sales and leadership development, strategy and IT consulting (BFT also helps organization recruit and coach their salespeople). Oluwafunmilayo Shaibu has a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State and a Post Graduate Diploma in (PGD), Digital Media (Design, Production and Management) from the prestigious Pan Atlantic University Lagos. Her working experience spans across over a decade of working in various roles such as sales, human resource, finance and administration. Oluwafunmilayo is also a co-organiser of the Summer Boot Camp.

Adejoke Adesina

Adejoke, with over a decade of experience in legal practice, and over 10 years as a founding partner at Emily & Matthew LP, a corporate-commercial law firm operating out of Lagos, Nigeria. Adejoke is vastly experienced in managing relationships with people at various levels.

She sits on the board of many companies across various value chains, where she regularly advises on legal compliance and business strategies.

As a member and one-time president of Lighthouse Toastmasters International, Adejoke has facilitated several public speaking and training engagements, and has won several awards.

Eberechi Chikezie

Eberechi Chikezie is a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker. She co- founded GrowthLab Consults Limited, a company involved in coaching and training professionals and companies in Leadership, Personal growth, Peak performance, Business designs and Transformation.She holds an MSC in Professional Accountancy from the University of London and an MBA from the ESUT Business School. Gloria A. Ajoge-Adaba is a certified John Maxwell Coach, a Toastmaster, Speaker and Leadership Trainer and also an Engineer and an Environmentalist with over 12 years professional experiences in the Environmental and oil and gas sectors. She currently runs an environmental consulting and exportation company Remould Global Ventures Limited as the Principal consultant and CEO. Gloria is also the founder of Thumbs Up Youth Leadership Development Initiative (TUPI). Oluseyi Olufikayo

Seyi is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in Nigeria and the Human Resources Certification Institute in the U.S.A. She is a member of the John Maxwell Team, as a coach, speaker/Trainer and a certified Financial Literacy Educator.

David Famoti

David Famoti is 10 years old. His financial journey started at age 4 years when his mum bought him a piggie bank. Read his first financial book, “School of Money” by Pastor Olumide Emmanuel. At age 7, he read the first of many rich dad poor dad books written by Robert Kiyosaki. At age 9, he started his first business; selling lemonades. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he could no longer sell lemonades and decided to start trading on global stocks using the earnings from his lemonade business, his savings and some money his dad gave to him to start trading stocks and grew his portfolio by 20% in the last two months.

He currently teaches his friend and adults on how to trade on the global market. He also trades in stocks, mutual funds, index funds bonds and recently moving onto cryptocurrencies and forex. David is a star athlete, a spelling bee champion with several academic awards.David hubbies are playing football, swimming and reading.

Chinelo Nkennor

Chinelo Nkennor (ACCTP, CCTP) is a Certified Child Trauma Practitioner and an Advanced Certified Child Trauma Practitioner. She has an M.A and B. ED both first class honours in Counselling. She is a child and adolescent trauma counselor who offers caring, empathic, and professional counselling to adolescents and children.Chinelo is a seasoned speaker, trainer, life coach and mentor to several young people. She has served as director of the African Leadership Academy Global Scholars Program in South Africa and organizes programs to promote mental wellness amongst teens. She is the initiator of the Noblewoman Network, Authentic teen summer camp, Young mum's project and Teen Mentors and Teachers Forum (TMT).

Ola Williams

Biodun Odunukwe

Biodun Odunukwe is a Parent-Teen Coach, Family Life Practitioner and HarvardX Certified Family Engagement in Education Trainer and Author.She is an Accounting graduate from University of Benin and an Associate member of Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD). She has published her first book “The Redefined Parent”, as well as interacted with thousands of Parents and children in various homes, religious and academic institutions.

Kamsi is ten years old. She is a student at Princeton School Surulere, Lagos. She just graduated from primary, and she has been admitted into JSS 1 of the same school. At age 9, Kamsi started a YouTube Channel named Kamsi’s Space https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCljxZbez2nLR8CQiSQa9ppgCurrently, the channel has over 4,800 active subscribers and has uploaded over 130 videos. She is a violinist. She enjoys creative art and dancing.

Omotayo Shaibu

Omotayo is the CEO and Founder of a small startup design company called Dudeship Designs. Omotayo at age 11 aced the Certification Assessment with 100% scores and became a certified Mind Mapper and the first child to become a Biggerplate®️ Certified Mind Mapper. Omotayo loves to surf the net and draw. He wants to be an engineer/graphic designer when he grows up.
